Our Story

We’re padel players. We got tired of choosing between a racket bag built for men and a gym holdall that swallowed everything - and couldn’t find one that carried our whole day and still looked like us. So we made it.

The bag that killed my two-bag mornings

Before this I left the house every day with a work bag in one hand and a padel bag in the other, every single day. The brume merged them into one and I hadn't realised how much the daily juggle grated until it stopped. Laptop in the padded sleeve, racket in its pocket, shoes vented away, work bits in the organiser. One strap over the shoulder and out the door. It sounds trivial but smoothing that friction has been lovely, and the grey-blue is smart enough that nobody guesses it's doing double duty.

My doubles partner bought one on the spot

I turned up with the brume and by the end of the session my doubles partner had photographed it to look it up. She's since bought one in another colour and we joke we're a walking advert. Beyond the looks, what wins people over is the practical stuff — the racket pocket, the shoe vent, the fact it doesn't scream sports bag. It's not often a bag becomes a talking point among people who just want to get on and play, but this soft grey-blue one manages it every time.

Rain, mud and months in — still lovely

We play through all weather and my kit takes a beating, so I expected this to look tired by now. It doesn't. The water-repellent grey-blue shell has shrugged off rain again and again, the material wipes clean of court dust and mud, and months in it still looks soft and fresh. Nothing has frayed, sagged or faded. For a bag living a genuinely hard outdoor life, staying this nice is impressive, and the muted brume colour clearly helps hide the daily grime a brighter bag would show.

The neutral that's never out of place

Some bags are great in one setting and wrong everywhere else. The brume is the opposite — it looks right at the courts, in the office, on a train, at a nice dinner, on a weekend away. The misty grey-blue is endlessly adaptable and the clean shape keeps it from ever reading as sporty or scruffy. Inside it's all function; outside it's all restraint. Having one bag I never think twice about carrying anywhere has been unexpectedly freeing. It just works, everywhere, every time.

Nicer than the branded bags at my club

A few of the keener players lug around big branded racket bags, and I feel quietly pleased that my brume does more and looks nicer. It holds my racket just as securely, ventilates my shoes, protects my laptop and doesn't announce itself as sports kit to the whole café afterwards. You don't need the biggest, loudest bag to have the most useful one. Quietly excellent suits me perfectly, and I get more comments on this soft grey-blue bag than I ever did on any proper racket bag.

Tougher material than I expected

At this size I half expected something lightweight and flimsy, but the brume has a reassuring substance — the fabric feels hardwearing, the base is properly reinforced, and the zips are chunky and smooth. It's light enough to carry all day yet clearly built to take a beating. Months in there's no sign of wear anywhere and the grey-blue still looks soft and clean. It hits that tricky balance between feeling premium and being genuinely tough for daily sport, which most bags miss one way or the other.

School run to court with no swap

My days lurch between drop-offs, work and a game if I'm lucky, and the brume handles all of it. Backpack straps for the hands-free school run, handles for a dash to the car, crossbody into town, and inside there's room for my racket, shoes and laptop alongside the usual parent clutter. It doesn't look like sports kit at the school gates or like a changing bag at the courts — just a calm grey-blue bag that fits every version of my day. Quietly brilliant, honestly.

Distinctive without trying too hard

I worried a grey-blue might read as an anonymous neutral, but the brume has real character — the soft misty tone and the clean shape make it stand out gently rather than shouting. I always spot mine instantly. It's understated but never boring, and the colour has the practical upside of hiding the little marks daily use brings. Between the quietly distinctive look and the forgiving tone, it manages to be both eye-catching and low-maintenance, which is a balance I didn't expect from a sports bag.

I'd reorder this the same day

The real test of anything is whether you'd buy it again if it vanished, and I'd reorder the brume before I'd finished being annoyed about losing it. It does everything I need, looks lovely doing it, and has survived months of real use. I've stopped browsing other bags altogether, which for a habitual bag-swapper is remarkable. If it were lost or stolen tomorrow it'd be back in my basket within the hour. That's about the strongest endorsement I can give anything I own.

Made packing for a game almost fun

Getting ready for padel used to be a scramble for a carrier bag for my shoes and a fight to cram everything into a shapeless holdall. Now there's a satisfying little routine — racket in its slot, shoes in the vent, laptop in the sleeve, essentials in the pockets — and it all clicks into place. The brume bag waiting by the door ready to go makes the whole thing feel intentional. Silly perhaps, but a well-organised bag genuinely takes the friction out of a busy life, and the soft grey-blue makes it a pleasure to grab.

Six months on, still telling everyone

I hardly ever write reviews but this earned one. Six months of twice-weekly games, work days and a couple of weekends away, and it's still going strong — the brume grey-blue looks fresh, the zips still glide, nothing has torn or sagged. I've pointed at least five people towards it and two have bought it and thanked me. A bag you're still genuinely enthusiastic about after half a year of daily abuse is rare. Whatever they've done in the construction, it's holding up beautifully.

Smart enough for a corporate office

My workplace is fairly formal and I worried a padel bag would look out of place in the lobby. The brume solved it instantly — it reads as a soft, minimal grey-blue work bag, and only I know about the racket compartment and vented shoe pocket inside. It carries me from a 9am meeting to a 6pm game with no bag swap. That double life is exactly what I was hunting for and never found. Smart on the outside, seriously practical within, and the muted colour goes with every work outfit I own.

The strap setup is smarter than it looks

I dismissed the three-ways-to-carry idea as marketing until I lived with it. The straps clip on and off cleanly, no fiddling, no leftover dangly bits. In tidy handle mode the extra straps disappear and the grey-blue bag looks like a smart accessory; when I need my hands free they're on in seconds. One bag covers the commute, the school run and the court without ever looking wrong for the setting. Far more thoughtful than I gave it credit for when I first unboxed it.

Practical without a hint of the tactical

So many functional bags look aggressive — mesh, straps everywhere, shouty logos. The brume is proof you can have all the function wrapped in something soft and elegant. The racket pocket, shoe vent, laptop sleeve and organiser pockets are all hidden inside a clean, misty grey-blue exterior you'd happily carry anywhere. That restraint is my favourite thing about it. It does everything a chunky racket bag does while looking like a considered accessory, and the gentle colour keeps the whole thing looking calm rather than sporty.

A gift that completely landed

Bought the brume for my sister when she got into padel — she'd been carrying her gear in an old tote. Her face when she opened it was worth every penny, and she's messaged twice since about how much she uses it and how many people ask where it's from. The soft grey-blue meant I didn't have to gamble on her taste, and the quality made it feel like a proper present rather than a token. If you're buying for someone who plays, this is a safe and genuinely lovely bet.

Ended my daily rummaging for good

I used to be the woman tipping her whole bag out at the court entrance to find a key fob. The brume's internal zip pockets fixed that overnight — small things have a home, the laptop has its padded spot, the racket its slot, the shoes their vented section. Everything's exactly where I left it. It's a small quality-of-life change I notice every single day, and the calm grey-blue exterior somehow matches the calm of not having to dig through chaos every time I need my phone.

Outlasting bags that cost far more

I've wasted money on flimsier bags that frayed and sagged inside a season. The brume has taken months of hard, near-daily use and shows none of it — no loose threads, no droopy base, no stuck zips, no fading of the grey-blue. When I work out how often I use it, the cost per use is already tiny. Sometimes the pricier option genuinely turns out to be the better value, and this is a clear case. It refuses to wear out, so I've stopped thinking about bags entirely.

From the courts straight to a nice dinner

Twice I've gone from an evening game straight out to dinner without going home first, and the brume looked completely at home in both settings. It reads as a smart grey-blue holdall, not sports kit, so I never felt scruffy walking into a restaurant with it. Meanwhile my racket, shoes and a change of clothes were tucked neatly inside. That versatility — genuinely court-ready and genuinely presentable — is exactly what I'd been failing to find in other bags for months. This one just does both.

Details done right, top to bottom

On paper it's just a bag, but the small choices are what win. The zips are chunky and glide instead of snagging. The reinforced base keeps it upright rather than flopping over. The straps unclip fully so there's no tangle of webbing. Even the embossed logo is subtle. I've owned plenty of sports bags that felt like an afterthought, and this brume one is clearly the opposite. The soft grey-blue shows less wear than I feared, too — a quick wipe and it's back to looking new.

The colour that goes with literally everything

I have a wardrobe full of neutrals with the odd bold piece, and the brume grey-blue slots into all of it — it works with navy, camel, white, black, even softer pastels. That versatility means I never have to think about whether the bag matches, I just grab it. And it earns its place practically too: racket pocket, vented shoe section, laptop sleeve, organiser pockets. A bag that goes with everything and does everything is a rare find, and this misty grey-blue is exactly that.

Bought for padel, now my everyday bag

I got the brume purely for my weekly games and it's quietly taken over the rest of my week — overnight bag, day-trip carry-all, backup work bag. The internal pockets mean my essentials always have a home, and the shape holds whether it's packed or half empty. Because the grey-blue doesn't read as sports equipment, I'm never self-conscious taking it somewhere smart. It's become the most-used bag I own, which is not what I expected when I bought something ostensibly for racket sports.

Comfortable across town, even packed full

Loaded with racket, shoes, laptop, water bottle and spare clothes, I carried this as a backpack right across the city and my shoulders didn't complain. The straps are wide enough to spread the weight and padded where it counts, and in crossbody mode the strap sat flat rather than digging in. Plenty of bags are fine empty and awful full; this passes the real test. The soft grey-blue also somehow doesn't look bulky even when it's stuffed to the top, which I really appreciate.

E
Elin Ruddock
Soft grey-blue that looks quietly expensive

The brume has a lovely muted richness in person — a misty grey-blue with a soft texture that looks far pricier than it was. People have assumed it's a designer piece. Unlike an actual designer bag though, this one holds a racket, ventilates my shoes and shrugs off rain. It's the rare thing that presents beautifully and takes real abuse. The colour keeps it looking calm and clean between wipes, and it goes with every outfit I own. Elegant and hardwearing at once, which is a combination I'd almost given up finding.

D
Dixie Quarmby
The vented shoe pocket sold me instantly

If you play regularly you'll get why I'm raving about a shoe pocket. My court shoes used to go in a carrier bag inside my main bag and everything still ended up smelling. The brume has a proper ventilated compartment that zips away entirely from your clothes and laptop. My fresh outfit stays fresh, the bag never holds odours, and I've stopped hunting for spare plastic bags before every session. Such an obvious feature, done properly, and it's the thing I appreciate most every single time I pack.

C
Clemmie Peascod
Rain rolled straight off the grey-blue shell

First proper test was a downpour on the walk back from the courts with my laptop inside. I feared the worst and got the best — the water-repellent shell beaded the rain off and everything stayed dry, and the brume didn't water-mark the way I worried a paler colour might. That single soggy walk convinced me more than any spec list could. I now trust it with my laptop in any weather, which I could never say about the bags I owned before this one.

Court in the morning, meetings after, one bag

The padded laptop sleeve was the deciding feature for me, and my 14-inch fits with room to spare. I play before work and this handles the whole day — racket, shoes, laptop and a change of clothes all in one grey-blue bag that looks smart enough for a client meeting. The interior pockets keep my phone and keys findable rather than lost in a void. Merging my sports bag and my work bag into one has quietly simplified my mornings more than I'd have believed a bag could.

A
Aisling Nettleship
Understated colour, seriously clever inside

What I love about the brume is how quiet it is on the outside and how busy it is on the inside. The misty grey-blue reads as a calm, minimal bag you'd carry anywhere, while hidden within are the racket pocket, the vented shoe section, the padded laptop sleeve and neat organiser pockets. Nobody would guess it's sports kit. That gap between how simple it looks and how much it actually does is exactly what I wanted. Function and good looks usually fight each other; here they finally get along.

Took it as hand luggage and it nailed it

I wasn't expecting a padel bag to double as a weekend carry-on, but the brume came to Lisbon with me and was perfect. Two days of clothes in the main section, sandals zipped in the vented shoe pocket, laptop safe in its sleeve. Three carry modes meant crossbody through the airport, then backpack when I had a coffee and a passport to juggle. It came home looking exactly as good as it left. The soft grey-blue also looked lovely in every holiday photo, which was an unexpected bonus.
